Sportsman eliminations are under way at this hour. The Professional qualifying rounds start at noon. As a happy side note, Angela Hopkins is here today with her family, including her parents who are celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary here at the track. Congratulations! We’ll be bringing you live updates and special notes throughout the day today, so stay tuned.

10:30 - The Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars are just wrapping up their first round for the day. Comp Eliminator is up next. The first round of the K&N Pro Stock Challenge is set to go at 11:30, with the remaining Professional rounds to follow immediately.

2:00 - We'd like to personally thank Mother Nature for allowing us to get a Pro qualifying round in! Top Fuel, Funny Car, And Pro Stock, two and four wheeled, have all been down the track at least once. The K&N Pro Stock Challenge second rouns shakes out like this; finalist #1-Greg Anderson, finalist #2-Allen Johnson. They went so quick we couldn't clock 'em!

3:45 - We have a little rain delay at the moment. According to the radar, this should be the last water we see today. We'd like to send a birthday wish out to Joshua Stassen who is sitting in the stands watching the racing today. Happy Birthday, Josh!

5:00 - The K&N Pro Stock Challenge came to an unbelievable conclusion. Greg Anderson, in the Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac GXP ran 6.717/204.91 against Allen Johnson's 6.725/204.91, and Anderson lost the race! Allen Johnson pulled an unbelievable 0.000 reaction time to Anderson's 0.024. That just may be the most lucrative perfect light in recent memory. Congratulations to K&N Horsepower Challenge Champion Allen Johnson! The qualifying field is set and we are ready to head into tomorrow's final eliminations. Pre-race ceremonies are scheduled for 10:00, and Final Eliminations will start at 11:00.
